ALF Construction Project completes its ground breaking with Minister for Multiculturalism Ingrid Stitt

Friday 11th of April 2025 marked a significant milestone for the Australian Light Foundation (ALF) as Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Ingrid Stitt, officially broke ground on the first stage of ALF’s 3 stage development and construction project.

This initial phase includes the construction of a 56-metre-long wall, symbolising the start of a transformative development that has been nearly seven years in the making. The project aims to serve as a vital hub for the local Muslim community, supporting early education and active living.

ALF extends its sincere gratitude to Minister Ingrid Stitt and local MP Sarah Connolly for their ongoing support and advocacy throughout this journey.

Members of ALF in attendance at the ceremony included Fatih Yargi, Hamdi Koyu, and Celil Kardaslar.

ALF would like to also give a special mention to the Danaro Group who is playing a crucial role in both the management and technical delivery of the project, working closely with ALF to bring this long-held vision to life. Their efforts and expertise in project management and communication is exemplary.

Stay tuned for further updates as this exciting community project continues to progress.
